Jason Statuta

Jason Statuta is the Managing Director and founder of Petrichor Wealth Management in Charlottesville, Virginia. He and his firm are affiliated with LPL Financial. Jason started Petrichor Wealth Management with the vision of creating a local investment office that offers independent financial advice to clients without the biases or bureaucracy often associated with Wall Street banks. He serves his clients by taking a planning-based approach and has been solving financial problems for retail clients for the last nine years, and institutional clients for more than 20 years before that.
Jason is a Certified Financial Planner™, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards, Inc. as well as a Certified Investment Management Analyst®, a certification administered by the Investment & Wealth Institute, and taught in conjunction with the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
As a wealth advisor, Jason serves clients in an objective, transparent and independent environment with the goal of operating as a fiduciary, meaning clients’ interests always come first. Jason develops and implements tailored financial plans that encompass estate planning, investment management and overall risk mitigation for individuals, families, and corporations. As an investment strategist and portfolio designer, he creates tailored portfolios that reflect each client’s objectives, risk tolerance, time horizons and investment preferences.
Prior to joining LPL Financial, Jason was a Vice President and Investment Officer with both Raymond James and Wells Fargo Advisors. Prior to being a financial advisor, Jason spent 11 years as Vice President for Goldman Sachs and nearly a decade at Pioneer Investments and Putnam Investments as the Regional Vice President responsible for asset management sales to various institutional clients. His love of finance began when he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College in 1994.
Jason believes strongly in staying involved in his community and giving back to others. He has been actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Central Blue Ridge for many years, including serving six years on the Board of Directors, and two years as the President of the Board. He has also served on the Board of Directors at Farmington Country Club as well as the Finance Committee of Charlottesville Catholic School. He is an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and lives with his wife and two children in Charlottesville, VA. In his free time, Jason enjoys playing golf, mountain biking with his family and friends, skiing, hiking, fly-fishing, and cheering on various sports teams for his children.
